about the artist
Rick “Breez” Dasilva,
Born in the early 70′s on the upper west side of New York City.
Attended Laguardia HS of the arts, the School of Visual Arts University and DC comics new talent Program (’89-’90).
worked as a background artist in the early 90′s for various projects at Marvel and DC comics (the Question/Deathlok/Shado/Prince 1-shot).
Rick took a hiatus from the comics’ scene in the late 90′s to record and travel abroad as underground mc Breez Evahflowin.
He’s recently put together a portfolio of 12 sequential pages loosely based on his experiences in between that time.(currently shopping for a publisher )
A little more about the artist
inspired by comic art legends such as John Buscema, John Byrne, Denys Cowan, George Perez & Walt Simonson to name a few. Rick’s developed a
style of graphic design and illustration that fully adopts the dynamic nature of the comic book medium.
